My journey started with a simple dream and a lot of hard work. I didn’t have formal training or a clear path laid out for me, but I had passion, determination, and an unwavering belief that beauty could be more than skin deep.
I remember helping my first client, a friend who wanted to feel confident for a special event. She told me she didn’t think she could ever look the way she imagined. Together, we created a look that wasn’t just about the makeup, it was about rediscovering her beauty and strength.
When she smiled at her reflection and said, “I’ve never felt this beautiful,” I knew this was more than a career for me. It was my calling.
Today, my mission remains the same: to empower others to find their voice and confidence through the art of makeup. That’s why I created Danessa Myricks University.
